Cancellation & Refund Policy

For Sewing Workshops, Lessons & Class Packages

Thank you for booking with Cromer Seamstress. As a small, independent sewing business, every booking is important to us. We dedicate time, care, and materials to each workshop and lesson to give you a great experience. Please read our cancellation and refund policy below before booking.

Cancellations by Participant

More than 7 days before your scheduled workshop or lesson.

  • A full refund will be issued, including any deposit paid.
  • You may also choose to reschedule to a future date (subject to availability).

3 to 7 days before the workshop or lesson.

  • Receive a 50% refund of your payment (excluding any materials already purchased).
  • One-time rescheduling allowed (subject to availability).
  • You may also transfer your spot to another person.

Less than 72 hours before the workshop or no-show.

  • No refund will be issued.
  • You are welcome to send someone in your place (please notify us in advance).

Private Lessons & Custom Bookings

  • 48 hours’ notice or more: Reschedule or receive a full refund.
  • Less than 48 hours’ notice: A 50% cancellation fee applies.
  • Same-day cancellation or no-show: No refund will be given.

Materials Costs

Some classes include kits or specialty materials prepared just for you:

  • If you cancel within 7 days of the class, materials costs are non-refundable if already purchased or prepared.
  • If materials have not yet been ordered or used, we may refund that portion at our discretion.

Deposits

Certain workshops or private bookings may require a deposit to secure your place:

  • Deposits are non-refundable if cancellation occurs within 7 days of the event.
  • For cancellations with more than 7 days’ notice, your deposit will be fully refunded.

Recurring Class Packages (e.g. 4-week beginner courses) and Residentials

Before the first session begins:

  • Full refund if cancelled more than 7 days in advance.
  • 50% refund if cancelled 3-7 days in advance.
  • No refund if cancelled less than 72 hours before the start date.

Missed sessions:

  • No refunds or credits for missed sessions.
  • Make-up sessions may be offered based on availability (at Cromer Seamstress’ discretion).

Residential Retreats

There are no refunds for Residential retreats. Spaces can be transferred to someone else, prior to the start of the event, by the ticket holder.

Cancellations by Cromer Seamstress

In the rare case that we need to cancel or reschedule (due to illness, low enrolment, or unforeseen circumstances):

  • You will receive a full refund or be given the option to reschedule.

Refund Processing

Refunds will be issued to your original payment method and typically take 7-10 business days to process.
